Planned Giving
Leave a legacy gift to Ascencia to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable community members for years to come!
“Why have we decided to include Ascencia in our Estate Plans? It’s that basket of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the front desk that are available for residents to grab as they go off to their jobs. It’s the ‘from the heart’ thanks and appreciation from the residents while serving them Guest Chef meals. It’s the Family atmosphere and extensive comprehensive services provided for the unhoused. It’s a peaceful and safe place. It’s the kindness of the staff. It’s the hope and the help given to residents for a new start in life. It’s that pets are allowed. Above all, it’s for the children.”

Planned Gifts
Planned gifts, also known as legacy gifts, are contributions that are arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. The principal benefits of planned gifts accrue to Ascencia at a later time, after your death, or the death of your last named beneficiary.
Planned gifts take many forms, providing additional income for you and/or your heirs, reducing income and estate taxes, relieving you and your heirs of complicated financial management responsibilities, and helping to fulfill your personal, humanitarian, and charitable objectives. Planned gifts can be made in cash, real estate, personal property, or life insurance.
By leaving a legacy gift to Ascencia, you can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable community members for years to come! Please discuss options with your financial advisor.
Charitable Bequests
A charitable bequest is an official statement in a will, a trust, or an estate plan that designates a gift to a specific charity. Charitable bequests are deducted against the value of an estate, making it a powerful tool for bringing estate taxes down, and benefitting both the donor and the charity.
One of the simplest planned gifts is a bequest through your will in which you designate either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate after other disbursements. A bequest also can reduce the amount of your taxable estate, which may increase the actual amount available to loved ones.
